Please list the books you've read over the summer along with a few sentences about the books. Be sure to let other bookworms know if this would be a good book to read and tell us why! Don't forget to add your first name only after your entry.
Bronx Masquerade by Nikki Grimes is a powerful book about a group of teens and their life experiences. These high school students express themselves through poetry in their English class and we learn about their private and public selves. This book comes highly recommended because the author discusses real teen issues in the real world! 5 stars! (Ms. G.)

Currently, we are reading Fire From the Rock by Sharon Draper and is is proving to be a great book! In addition to reading, listening, and learning about the Civil Rights Movement from a teen point of view, we were able to chat with Mrs. Draper recently! This book has action, mystery, and a little romance! 5 stars!!! (Ms. G.)
