This is a project that will be completed during and after our Spring 2011 inter-session. Check back for due dates!
1. Each student will be required to choose a historic site in Chicago. (Due ) 5 pts.
2. Research the following details (5 points for each accurate detail= 50 points max)
a. the name of the historic site
b. the history of that name (when named, who named it, why that name, what was the cause of earning landmark status)
c. The intended use of the site and how it is used today
d. The architect who designed the landmark/site and his or her influences
e. Difficulties and considerations in selecting the location and construction of the landmark
f. The location of the landmark
g. Any additional interesting facts learned about your landmark
h. Include at least 3 pictures
3. Researched information must be presented in a power point format for presentation . (45 points)
